M1 Licence

If you are at least 16 years old, you can apply for a motorcycle licence in Ontario. Once you pass a written test about rules of the road and traffic signs, you will get an M1 licence. You will need to wait at least 60 days before you can take your M2 road test. Your M1 licence is valid for 90 days. If the licence expires, you will need to start over.

M1 Prep Materials

On your official M1 test you will be presented 64 random questions with 24 motorcycle related questions, 20 questions on the rules of the road, and 20 questions on road signs. To pass the test, you need to achieve a minimum 80% mark in each of the 3 sections.

Marking Schema

This is Official Marking Schema showing all marking you will be scored on during your M (M2 Exit) Road Test. It essentially breaks down your interaction with road elements into basic elements that the examiner grades you on.
